There are people who customarily cut their hair every few weeks, and there are those who haven't cut their hair for years.

Read on to know how often should we cut ones hair.

There are top 2 considerations on when to cut it; maintaining your hair in good condition, and keeping a particular look.

Letting your hair grown non stop can end up harming you.

Growing up, we thought that split ends are signal when it's time to cut our hair, but those are actually indication that we have waited too long to visit our hairdresser.

Hairstylists say that on the average, cuts be done every 3 to 4 months.

If you have bangs, having them trimmed as frequently as every 2 weeks is advised. However, majority tend to schedule every 2-3 weeks where the bangs feel overgrown.

Hair cut timing depends on your hair's lengthvolumetexture and style.

Having short hair requires you to maintain it every month or some extends it to 6 weeks as short haircuts appear overgrown more quickly than those who have hair over the shoulder.

While those with medium hair (long bobs, tousled shags, layered shoulder length) can wait a little longer for a trim. Getting a haircut every 6-8 weeks is recommended if you want to keep your hair at the same length.

Longer hair is usually recommended between 3-6 months, depending on your hairdo.

Although length is an aspect, your hair's volume also factors in. Those with thick hair can frequently skip the salon for a few months. However, those with thick hair are all too aware of how unruly strands may become if they are not regularly maintained.

Thinner hair types may notice that after a few months, their style starts to look uncomfortable. There's also the chance of a breakage to be taken into account.

Your hairstyle is also in consideration of when best to get a trim. People with straight or wavy hair can typically stick to the standard waiting intervals, to about 10 to 12 weeks.

Curly hair can wait longer because it doesn't seem to change much even as it grows.

Bottom line is, Healthy and well- trimmed hair will grow more quickly and appear more vibrant.

The best way to maintain your style looking salon-fresh is to know what your hair needs and to follow that regimen.

And don't forget to invest  on the right hair care products.

Deep conditioners and heat protection sprays, for example, can lessen damage and dryness, letting you to (slightly) extend those essential cutting sessions.
