Keep your hair smooth for as long as possible!

  1. Use Silk Pillowcases

Silk pillowcases, as you may have heard, serve to reduce friction, resulting in softer hair that is less likely to be damaged. If you're using a cotton pillowcase after your keratin treatment, be aware that your hair is more vulnerable to breakage.

     2. After a Keratin Treatment, keep your hair down

It takes three days for your hair to recover from a keratin treatment. Keeping your hair open and free of any hair ties is essential to avoiding any weird creases or dents. Also, stay away from the ear tuck!

     3. After a keratin treatment, you should reduce how often you wash your hair.

Avoid washing your hair daily after the treatment. Following the aftercare instructions for this keratin treatment ensures that the results are maintained for as long as feasible. The oiliness of some people's hair is greater than that of others, necessitating a daily shampoo. There are some lucky people out there who are able to go for days without washing their hair. A proper shower cap will keep water out and protect your hair when you're in the shower between washes.

    4. Make the switch to a sulfate-free hair care regimen

Choose a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner before you wash your hair. Using a set that contains sulfate will harm your treatment and cause it to fail. With the included shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask, the Emiliv Professional PROHOMETEN Home Care Kit is one of our favorites. This kit is a favorite of ours because it is gentle on your hair while still delivering outstanding results! Using too strong post-treatment shampoos which can strip your hair of the treatment or leave you with uneven results, should be avoided at all costs.

      5. Keep your hair dry

Remember to ask your hairdresser how long you should stay out of the water after your keratin treatment. It is recommended that you wait three days before washing your hair. Due to keratin treatments, this period of time can vary greatly.
