The Right Way To Use Your Shampoo & Conditioner
Posted on December 13 2022
Maintaining smooth, lustrous hair can be greatly influenced by how you wash your hair and the products you use. Follow these simple tips to maintain healthy hair:
1. Select shampoo and conditioner made for your particular hair type. Use a shampoo made for colored hair, for instance, if you color your hair. Consider a "2-in-1" shampoo if your hair is damaged or has undergone chemical treatment.
2. Shampoo the scalp well. When washing your hair, focus on cleaning the scalp first, rather than the entire length of hair. Washing merely your hair can result in flyaway, lifeless, and coarse hair.
3. Unless you use a "2-in-1" shampoo that cleans and conditions your hair, use conditioner after every shampoo. Conditioner can considerably enhance the appearance of damaged or worn hair by enhancing gloss, minimizing static electricity, improving strength, and providing some UV protection.
4. Concentrate your conditioner on your hair's tips. Conditioners should only be applied to the tips of fine hair; they should not be applied to the scalp or the length of the hair because they might make the hair appear limp.
Does your hair appear frizzy or damaged? Making some of these adjustments to the way you treat your scalp or hair may be helpful.
